Interpersonal and Communication Skills for Health Care Professionals (NURS 20010)
I learned about interacting with other people as individuals and as groups and about presenting information. Techniques concerning assertiveness, presentation, critical thinking, collaboration, teamwork, learning and studying, diversity, and communication were emphasized. The importance of APA formatting and research were also stressed. I also developed a nursing portfolio and learned about the N-CLEX through this course.
Personal Reflection: What did you gain from course?
I gained the knowledge of effective presentations and communication in general as well as how this applies to nursing. I learned about the responsibilities and roles of nurses and how healthcare teams function. The information I experienced in this class supplemented my other nursing classes.
